Concussion Protection Strategies- Wellington and West Palm Beach
The fear of concussions and head injury is starting to affect enrollment into various sporting activities. A tremendous amount of research has gone into developing technology to help reduce the impact of head injuries in contact sports. However, technology in it’s current state can do little to prevent damaging forces from affecting the brain.
One area that is being studied more heavily is the affect that the neck muscle can have on concussion prevention. Research has shown that people with stronger neck muscles may be protective against concussive injury. By developing neck strength, you can protect the neck from injury and limit movement of the head that causes brain movement.
Concussion can affect men and women of all ages, but it’s most important for children who have less developed neck muscles to be prepared for the sports that they play.
